2. Try some relaxing food and drinks

When you’re feeling stressed, relaxing food and drinks can be very good for you. A relaxing food could be your favorite meal or even just a meal you’re craving at this moment, such as Chinese takeout. It would be best to try herbal and fruit teas, such as camomile tea, as this can be very soothing and calming for your entire body.

Sitcoms are good for this purpose, as you can drop in on random episodes of Frasier, The Big Bang Theory, and Friends without needing a reminder of what has happened so far in the so as it often does not impact the storyline too much.

4. Have a self-care evening

A self-care or pamper evening is a great way to chill out at the end of a long day. You can have a long shower or a hot bath and treat yourself to all of your skincare treatments to ensure that your skin feels as fresh and clean as possible. This is the perfect opportunity to use any face masks that you have yet to try and to exfoliate and moisturize your entire body. It would help if you then put on fresh pajamas and cozy socks before settling down to do whatever relaxing activity you have planned for the evening.

A pamper evening can truly make you feel like a new person. It is a chance to treat your skin and body, something we often forget to do with our hectic schedules. 

5. Walk the dog

Walking the dog or just going for a walk by yourself is a great way to decompress and get yourself out in nature for a little while. When you are feeling stressed, the fresh air can work wonders for your mental well-being. Dogs and other animals are also great for helping us to destress, as their happiness and excitement are infectious and can make us feel much better.
