You may be aware of the common eye refraction problems that cause you to wear prescription eyeglasses. This is the most common type of vision problem. The good thing about this condition is that you only need to wear eyeglasses to correct it. You can also be fashionable as you do it by wearing Aviator Glasses. But there are other vision problems that you should be aware of. If you notice something different with your eyes and are experiencing the same symptoms as the problems listed below, make sure to schedule an appointment with your eye doctor.

What are the Types of Vision Problems that You may Encounter?

Refractive errore

For those who have worn eyeglasses before, you may notice the refraction of your eyes as prescribed by your eye doctor. This is a common type of vision problem. You have three cases that cause your eyes to have refraction errors. One is nearsightedness or myopia. If you only see items clearly when they are up close but become blurry as you go farther, you may have myopia.

The opposite of nearsightedness is hyperopia or farsightedness. This occurs when you see items at a distance more clearly than those that are near you. You can pick up your recent receipt and try to read the letters on it. If you have difficulty reading the words, you should go to your optometrist and have your eyes checked.

Another vision problem that causes refractive errors is astigmatism. This is caused by the shape of your cornea. The effect of having astigmatism is still blurred vision. By wearing the right prescription glasses for astigmatism, you can reduce the grade and eventually correct your eyesight. You can still look good while wearing prescription glasses because of the number of styles of eyewear available. Aviator Glasses is a  classic. You can also choose more modern designs.

Crossed eyes

Crossed eyes happen when your eyes do not line up. This type also occurs when your eyes go toward one another. Another name for crossed eyes is strabismus. The forms of strabismus are esotropia, exotropia, hypertropia, and hypotropia. Most of the time, this condition is caused by family history. Sometimes, if a person does not correct farsightedness, it may cause crossed eyes. Disabilities can also cause this type of vision problem.

Lazy eyes

This is also a common type of vision problem. This occurs when the eyes and the brain are not in-sync. Lazy eyes are common in children. If there are signs of lazy eyes in your child, you must have them checked immediately.

Diabetic Retinopathy

If you have diabetes, you can have diabetic retinopathy. This happens because damage to the blood vessels occurs at the back of the eyes. People who have had diabetes for a long time are more at risk of having this kind of vision problem.

Those with diabetes must have their eye exam every year so that they can monitor the health of their eyes. Since this problem is caused by diabetes, you must also monitor your physical health and observe discipline in what you eat as well as what you do. You must keep your blood sugar at stable levels and your cholesterol within a safe range.

 Conclusion

You should always protect and keep every part of your body safe from physical harm and even diseases. Your eyes are one of the most important sense organs because they help you see and move from place to place. If you feel that there is something wrong with your eyes, you should seek professional help immediately. You should not prolong something that is not normal in your body. It is better to wear eyeglasses than to have headaches and migraines every time. You can still be stylish by wearing Aviator Glasses while dealing with eye refraction. If you need to have medical intake, it is best that you comply with the doctor’s advise readily.
